Getting Started with Spechio
Learn how to set up your workspace and get your team booking spaces in minutes.
Spechio is a space booking platform that eliminates double bookings, spreadsheet chaos, and the back-and-forth of finding a free space. This guide walks you through everything you need to get up and running.
How Spechio Works
Spechio is built around two roles:
- Members — browse available rooms and make bookings
- Admins — manage rooms, invite teammates, and view usage analytics
Every account belongs to a workspace — your organization's private environment. Rooms, bookings, and team members are all scoped to your workspace, so other companies never see your data.
Step 1: Create Your Workspace
When you sign up, you'll be prompted to name your workspace. This is your organization's name as it appears inside Spechio (e.g. Acme Corp or Lincoln High School).
You can optionally set a team email domain (e.g. acme.com). When this is set, anyone who signs up with a matching email address will be prompted to join your workspace automatically — no invitation needed.
Note: Personal email domains like Gmail, Outlook, and iCloud are not eligible for auto-join. Those users must be invited manually.
Step 2: Choose a Plan
After creating your workspace, you'll be taken to the pricing page to select a plan. Your plan determines:
- How many rooms you can add
- How many admins your workspace can have
You can upgrade or change plans at any time.
Step 3: Add Your Rooms
Once subscribed, head to the Admin Dashboard → Rooms tab and start adding your spaces. For each room you can set:
- Name and location/floor
- Capacity
- Space type (meeting room, classroom, sports court, field, event center, etc.)
- Amenities (projector, whiteboard, video conferencing)
Set rooms to Active to make them visible and bookable by your team.
Step 4: Invite Your Team
Go to Admin Dashboard → Team and invite teammates by email. You can assign them as a member (can book rooms) or admin (full management access).
Team members will receive an invitation email with a link to join your workspace directly.
Step 5: Start Booking
That's it. Your team can now visit the Spaces page, find an available space, and book it in seconds — no training required.
